Corruption

Here's my take on the recent allegations being talked about by the corruption of public officials.

We are a country run like hell by not only Filipinos, but also criminals. At some point, this culture of ours must turn back from this traditional lax way of "abiding" the law and start to respect the guidelines of our Motherland that our very own fellow countrymen wrote.

Everything we dream about should start from nowhere but ourselves since all of us have a part in making a difference.

Until the next time.

This is a late post. However, I really think that my late grandmother deserves a spot here in this website of mine. This was a photo that I posted on Facebook just a few days after she passed away.

Rest in peace, Mamang.

"I can still remember a few words that Mamang told me during the few times we sat down together for a chat. As she struggled to get up from her bed as if proving to me that she's still strong and all her pains are worthless, she tried her best to speak to me as she gasped for air after every sentence. Then, she told me,

"When I go, do not be lonely, because you should know that I'll be in a better place, sweetheart."

Little did I know that that was last time that I would ever talk to her.

We'll miss you Mamang...

YOU ARE DEFINITELY ONE OF THE STRONGEST WOMEN I HAVE EVER KNOWN.

Until the next time.

Liverpool Football Club

It's been more or less 7 months since I last posted an entry here on my blog. Nevertheless, I still get surprised because the number of pageviews everyday seem to take on at least one viewer a day according to the stats. That is just awesome! Thank you!

Anyway, a lot has happened within the past few months and I've been wanting to write an entry for the longest time but then I just never really had the chance to because of the lack of time and inspiration. I wanted to write this entry so that my blog will be updated and so that everyone viewing it will as well be.

Liverpool FC Badge

Not many people know it but my favorite football club ever is Liverpool F.C. This club has such a rich history that it makes its supporters treat the club as their own religion because of the prestige it brings about to the people due to its past successes. The Liverpool magic had definitely brushed up on me ever since I started supporting the club a couple of years back.

I started cheering for this prestigious club because my favorite player, Fernando Torres, was a member of this club. He was the best striker that they had back when he was still healthy and at his prime as a member of the Reds which made me idolize him because I play the same position as he does when I play football as well.

But then, Torres left for another club after a time when Liverpool was having not much success. He left for a rival club, Chelsea FC, wherein our very own Philippine football heroes Phil and James Younghusband, were former members of.

Despite him leaving, I still found myself cheering for this very esteemed football club. It was very much interesting because I have never felt the love of this kind for an athletic team ever. I guess that knowing so much about the history of the club got me attached to it even more. Without Torres, I idolized other Liverpool icons who were already established members of the club even before "El Nino" came along. These players were Steven Gerrard, Jamie Carragher and goalkeeper Pepe Reina.

Liverpool lives by the slogan, "You'll Never Walk Alone", this is a title of a song which was adapted from the 1945 Rodgers and Hammerstein musical Carousel and is popularly known to be performed by Gerry and the Pacemakers and it serves as the club's battle cry. These four words symbolize the never-ending support of the Kopites (fans of LFC) to the club as well as the camaraderie of all the players with one another showing that they will all stick together through thick and thin.

Even though the club has not had much success as it usually had before in the past few years, it still does feel good to support Liverpool. Despite finishing in the middle of the standings and sometimes even at the lower half for the last couple of years, this football club is still undeniably one of the most successful clubs in football history. With that, I can proudly say that I am one die-hard Liverpool fan.

Until the next time.

What now?

At some point in a person’s life, he or she will encounter situations that would take them some time to decide what is right or wrong or what should or shouldn’t be done. People get to meet these types of crossroads at times when they may least expect it and that problem right there will be ready to eat them up alive if they do not have the right mindset to handle it.

Right now, I’m facing different challenges left and right and nobody else really knows these things since I haven’t really told anybody in detail about it. So I guess for it being in my head just makes it pretty much harder. I write on this blog so that I can find an escape from these things and for me to vent out as well. (I hope that I don’t get to rant out too much since one of my goals really is to inspire other people as well.) Right now, I’m pretty much writing and writing whatever it is that comes into my head so I’m sorry if the structure of this entry is pretty much confusing.
Of course we all know that there’s Somebody up there waiting for us to talk to Him and ask for His guidance. He will always be ready to help us and He will never give us problems that we cannot handle. If you have a big problem and you do not know what to do about it, you tell that problem “Hey big problem, I have a bigger GOD.”

Yeah it may sound corny and all especially if it’s coming from me. Hehe. But yeah, these are some of the few aspects that I learned back when I joined one camp of Youth for Christ back in Zobel.

Just keep in mind that getting angry at yourself wouldn’t solve the problem on its own. Yes, it’s fine to get mad at yourself at the beginning. But then, that cannot be a continuous event since nothing would happen if you just keep on doing that. After you get mad at yourself, use that problem as your inspiration and do whatever it takes to solve it and make yourself a better person.

Mistakes will make individuals better people.

Problems do not exist just because they do. God wants us to learn from these so that we get to be better individuals.

Now I’m writing once again because my mind and my soul is just filled up with so many things and I don’t even know where to begin. Originally, I wasn’t really expecting this blog of mine to make some noise but then somehow I get to see that the number of page views tend to go up once in a while even if I haven’t posted anything new. (Thank you everyone!)

All in all, I guess all that I’m asking for right now would be a source of inspiration. I need someone who can guide me through all this whatever it is that I’m going through. I find it hard to  go into detail because it just wouldn’t be right.

I really need a break from everything since the past few months have just really gone by so quickly. After that I hope I get to finally compose myself once again and start fresh. I really hope I do.

Until the next time.

Okay.

These are the times that I can truly write good entries. Whenever I have a heavy heart or a fulfilled one, I make the most of it and try to create something out of the whole experience.

Mistakes have to be made in order for people to be successful. You can never go through life without making mistakes. These are the things that make you stronger as an individual. These are the things that make you want more out of life. Without it, you will be nothing. I have a feeling that what I'm saying in this post has already been written on some posts in the earlier days of my blog. I guess that it goes to show that what I have been thinking about is accurate.

I can say that I'm in another point in my life where I have been to before. This whole experience going on once again REALLY REALLY REALLY sucks but then I guess God really has a reason for everything. All I want to set my mind into is to as of now is to thinking that God has a better plan for me and His will shall be done.

It definitely is hard to not think about the reasons of the things that do not go as planned. But then, we should realize that there are other people out there who have bigger problems than we do. What's best to do for us burdened people is to lift up our problems to our ONE BIG GOD and make Him help us solve it for us. He definitely won't give us something that we cannot handle. Right?

Until the next time.

Christmas 2011-Part 2

Okay so Christmas is over but the holiday season isn't yet. I can definitely say that I had the roughest Christmas day ever this year. Nevertheless, I still have a lot of things to be thankful for because God has definitely showered me and my family with so so many blessings through out this whole year. The ones who truly have the roughest Christmas season in the land would be the victims of typhoon Sendong down in Mindanao. This event wasn't being expected by a lot of people since this time of year isn't really known for being a rainy period. God bless the people of Cagayan de Oro and Iligan.

Most of the time, we take for granted the things that keep us alive in our everyday lives. We tend to get too busy in our own endeavors and we don't mind the little things in life that make the world beautiful. Nothing will ever happen to us if we always take everything seriously.

It's okay to be too busy because we have to be responsible. It's okay to be anxious because we have to live up to the standards. It's okay to be ignorant because some of us have better things to do. However, keep in mind that taking a time out is also important. Reflecting on the things that you have done for the day keeps your soul intact and full. Always try reflecting once in a while.

Until the next time.
